sottovoce

Live life to the fullest. Live with no regrets. Live and don't stop living.
Let youth's elixir fill our veins.

I Hope You Dance

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger

I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

and of course, ME!

4 days of Orientation passed in a FLASH, where did it go? I still remember the very, very messy hall on the first day. Orientation packs on the floor, signs everywhere signalling every og BUT MINE! Finally, I found Geronimo, in a very comfortable left corner of the MPH. And there, i met my OGLs, Jeffrey(and I told him "Woah you are tall!"), Meo and Vinod.

And I remember Huanhock sitting there on one side, and Yinleng, eewen and rachel on the other side. And I sat down. And then came many many more people, I remember Edwin sitting there emoing alone, Arun stoning, and then Milton and Joshua, Shawn and Squek.

The very first STORY____, OMG man, the heroes- Bob, Jacq/Heidi, Invisigirl, Vertigo, Disco Inferno. I LOVE OMG MAN. How can you not love the accent, the jokes, the muscles!! And station games, which we did relatively well for.

Personally, I felt that Orientation programme itself did not really help us bond. The OGs are too big, too big for bonding. But the bonding comes in after we all finish school. The whole pack of us running to J8, BW08 making it to J8 FIRST! Playing Indian Poker, Pig and what have you-s, eating, chatting, bonding!

War games were awesome. I love myself for not being a guy. Looking at my poor [male] OGmates (check out the pic with sly, arun and shawn, on the ground as if they just died) after strip me if you can, haha, I don't think I want to witness all that again. The last round was pretty much me, amirah and edwin looking at girls rip those poor guys apart! Eating them alive! But then again, this does not apply to WX because he scared the girls away by acting like a ballerina. ;D

And OG outing made me realise what an awesome OG I have. We are all so different, with Meo bravely trying out skates, to Rachel cautiously moving along, to Tin who fell and got up, fell and got up, to HH who zooms to and fro saving the lost souls. In the end we still stuck together! The best part- Huilian and her coins. She offered to buy us sugar cane drinks and we all paid her back- IN COINS.

And it seemed like everything passed in a blur. Before I knew it, there I was, watching the words Galvea burn, singing the college anthem, and the batch song. I felt tears in my eyes as we cheered for one last time- HEY! HO! GERONIMO! Though we might not be super tight, but I really the company of my OG. They never fail to put a smile on my face, and I love having conversations with them all.

The next day, we were all back in school. I felt really sad to know that the photo in this post WILL be the last photo we all have together. I hardly see anyone from my OG around anymore. ):

But I got this feeling that our OG is going to stick together for the upcoming two years. Awesome friends I've got.

I have so much to say but I don't know where to begin!

11A01C, you guys rock! While the rest of my science friends are complaining about their class, I AIN'T COMPLAINING ABOUT MINE WHEE!!

It's such a small world.

And now I feel like ranting. School has started and I am anything but ready. On a positive note, I am very motivated to improve on my general knowledge thanks to all the HP teachers. Tutorials hasn't started but I have learnt so much from them already!

And as for CCA, I'm trying to decide.

CCA #1:
Good results on a national level
If I join i'll be labelled as some cheena ass.
Twice a week training

CCA#2:
Horrendous results in competitions
BUT thrice a week training
If I join i'll be labelled as a bimbo, wallflower, whatever. It's a "pretty girl" CCA, according to....all guys.

I prefer #1, but I really hate the label. I don't mind #2, but the results are ):

SO HOW?
